How Did I Not Know About This?

My three girls are the happiest two, four and six year olds on the planet today.
Why you ask?
It is all because of my recent discovery of a magical thing called
Free YouTube to mp3 Converter.

It’s crazy awesome for this music loving Haus of Girls.
Instead of racking up tons of i-tunes fees downloading all the *special* songs your three daughters love to sing all day long, you can just convert the YouTube video into an audio mp3 file.

Yes, you heard me correctly.
And it’s crazy easy if I can figure it out.
On my own.
Last night at midnight.

We recently watched Barbie a Fashion Fairytale and let me tell you, the jams are real catchy. Even I wanted these songs.
I could only find one on i-tunes, so I purchased.
I was not satisfied with the single tune.
That would not a cd make for our six kid-filled Suburban trips to school every morning. So after researching, while simultaneously ordering a billion yards of ribbon so I can create tons of fun bows for the local high school dance team per the owner of the girls’ dance studio requests, I stumbled upon
www.DVDVideoSoft.com

100_2077

{Dance party in action. Yes Gracie is still in her jammies.}

It has perked up this sick mom’s spirits and we have already had numerous dance parties today. I even converted some fun stories that the girls and I love like Goodnight Moon (I adore Susan Sarandon's narration) and The Very Hungry Caterpillar, to the fantastic, makes me cry every single time Edelweiss from the Sound of Music.
Christopher Plummer’s version is my obvious favorite.

This new discovery will be such a fun way to introduce some of my favorites to them during the day or on our trips to school. Since YouTube has so many movies and clips from just about anything, a simple click to convert it to a file that I can just burn onto a cd makes this mom happy. And I bet it will made you very happy as well! The possibilities are endless.

I know what you are thinking, “Gosh, that Marta is so kind to share such a fun find. How can I ever thank her?”

Well, I have just the way.
Do you remember how l
ast year together with the help of donations from talented and generous artisans and crafters we

BUILT TWO WELLS?

charity water

You helped give two communities access to clean water.

To California and Back

in under 48 hours.

What a TRIP!

I was so happy to get the chance to meet some of my new favorite girls.

Mel
, Heather G, Julie, Heather M, as well as Erin who so kindly hosted us for a full blown SLUMBER PARTY extravaganza filled with eats, drinks, a baby shower, a birthday party and the chance to be a part of something AMAZING.

We were a bit overwhelmed by all the kindness!
Over 300 items when we had hoped for 100.

We put on our holla tees and got to work.
We organized all the gifts into bundles of 20.
Then Mel snapped pictures of everything.

We took a few time outs to celebrate baby Gianna,

who will be arriving in a few months!
(How cute is this diaper cake Erin made! SRSLY?!)

And then they took me to The Coffee Bean for the first time
One word: YUM.

Back at Erin, we posed in our holla tees,

and I may or may not have made Pottery Barn Dip.

Heather made some cupcakes to celebrate Julie's birthday!

And please don't fall off your chair when you take a look at this cuteness she made for Julie!Cutest. Bunting. Ever.

Janey joined Mommy to celebrate her birthday! How cute are they?!

Julie's birthday spread.

Mel and Julie posing by the tree.

One of Julie's gifts from Mel.

The weekend went by so fast.
We accomplished so much and had such a great time together.

But I sure did miss Steve and my girls.
When I got home I was welcomed with this.

Pasta con Broccoli and Brownies....

letters from Mia and Sophie,

and Gracie girl helping me with my luggage.

The girls said, "Mom do you remember our stockings?!"

"What about our Christmas Tree?!"

And then they showed me where their Elf on a Shelf was hanging out all day!

I missed little CLYDE also!

There is definitely no place like home, but I am so glad I decided to go and meet such amazingly talented and inspirational women that, if not for our blogs, I would have never met.

Please hop over to the Project 320 Blog everyday this week and enter to win one of the AMAZING bundles. So many wonderful people donated that we are giving away THREE bundles of 20 items everyday this week!

Every $10 donation will give you one entry.

Just leave one comment(for every $10 you donated) under whichever bundle you would LOVE to win!

Tell everyone you know and help us achieve our goal of raising $5000 to build a well and change lives forever.

Thank you!

Make Your Presents This Year.....

like you did when you were a kid.
That is what my family is doing this year.
It's so much more meaningful and special.
That is what CHRISTMAS is all about.
I dare you to watch this and not be changed.

After Mia and Sophie watched this they were so confused.

"Mommy, that's not fair that those kids don't have clean water."

"They can't drink that yucky water! They'll get sick!"

Donate to our well at Project 320 and join us in changing the world!

For every $10 you donate you will be entered to win a HUGE bundle of HANDMADE goodness.

Hurry.

Run.

Go!

In Two Weeks.....

I will be getting on a plane for the first time in years
Leaving my girls, which is SO very rare.

I am going to California & meeting, in person, my blog besties.
Julie, Mel, Heather G, Heather M and Erin

Five outstanding & inspiring women who are more giving,
caring and kind that I thought existed in today's world.

I am so excited to do something so out of the ordinary.
Something random.

But more importantly, help with something so WONDERFUL.
Project 320

Julie's AMAZING idea:

To collect 100 handmade and heartfelt items. Divide them into 10 giant, happy prize bundles.
Have five days of giveaways.
Two bundles of prizes featured each day.
But not just the "enter, enter, enter, get, get, get" type of giveaways.
More of a raffle.
Each $10 donation to charity:water equals one entry.
Readers can choose their favorite prize bundle or bundles, donate and then put their names in the drawing to win.
We will have our own webpage so entrants can donate directly to the well and we all can track and celebrate the progress.

$5,000 fully funds a well.
A well that can save 500 lives.
Change an entire village.
Forever.

If you have an Etsy shop great! What wonderful advertising. Your shop will be linked and featured in each post that includes one of your prize donations.
If you don't have an Etsy shop, but thought about opening one? What a great excuse!
But let's just say you would just love to use your hands to create something?
Wonderful!
You are so welcome to!
Even if you don't have aren't able to donate anything handmade, don't feel like you can't help.
Let's say someone donates a cozy coffee cuff?
What if you donated a Starbucks card to compliment it?
Or someone donates a necklace?
How about a Target card that the winner could go buy a new top to match it?

What does Julie's Project 320 stand for?

Julie lives her life by this verse:
Now glory be to God! By His mighty power at work within us, He is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.
Ephesians 3:20

Julie has a blog ready to go to host the giveaways and showcase all of you dear participants.

Please follow this blog as she is about to post some wonderful things!

So in two weeks, when I am in Cali visiting my new friends, we will combine all of the wonderful donations and divide them into packages and prepare the blog posts together.

A perfect weekend full of sewing, blogging, eating and FUN.....
The giveaway week is scheduled to run December 14th-18th
with the winners announced on the 21st.

All prize donations will need to be at Julie's house by December 10th.
I know that doesn't give you a ton of time and life is crazy hectic right now.

But you can do it!
If you live by me I can take any donations with me to California.
Just make sure I have your items by Thursday December 10th!

Be sure to send business cards and/or your blog addy with the package so we can properly link you and thank you.

Contact me for Julie's address if you would like to send your donations!
And thank you for being a part of Julie's wonderful idea and plan to make this
world a better place.
